FAQs

  • Body waxing is the removal of the hair from the root of the follicle. This may cause some discomfort but is not unbearable. Most clients who experience discomfort opt to taking an ibuprofen prior to their appointment.

  • On average, clients will return for follow up appointments every 3-4 weeks depending on the pace of their regrowth. Some experience slower regrowth and therefore can follow up later. This can be determined by speaking with your waxer.

  • Visually, the hair in the bikini area needs to be at least the length of a grain of rice. This would equate to about 4 weeks of hair growth.

  • NO! While most would consider their hair being ‘too long”, trimming too much off could result in your wax being rescheduled for being too short. If the hair is in fact too long, your waxer will trim for you before getting started.

  • Using a body exfoliant, such as a body scrub, exfoliating glove or body brush, 2-3 times per week will remove dead skin cells that will help give you smoother results after your wax. Doing this will also help to prevent ingrown hairs.

  • First of all, congratulations! And yes, you can still come in for any of our wax services. However, you may experience more sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through.
